Liposculpture
Even young, normal-weight individuals can have localized deposits of fat in the neck, jowls and below the chin. Some very thin people can even have double chins. For many of these individuals, facial liposculpture (liposuction) can be immensely beneficial.
When liposculpture is performed on the face, the procedure is very similar to liposuction on the body. The procedure is performed under location sedation. To remove fat from the lower face and neck, small incisions are made under the chin and fat is suctioned out with tiny instruments called cannulas. The result is a slimmer, more sculpted profile.
Recovery from Liposculpture
Discomfort is minimal and you should be back to your normal routine within a week of surgery. Because the procedure is only minimally invasive, the risk of complication is low. Dr. Siporin will discuss these risks with you during your consultation and help you decide whether facial liposculpture is right for you.
