There are a multitude of supplements, herbs, lotions and potions, too numerous to mention here. Although some formulas may be helpful for some people, no scientific studies support the use of these products for hair loss. If it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is. Before embarking upon a lengthy and expensive treatment, do some research, or speak to a physician. Saw Palmetto is one natural herb that, like Propecia, is purported to have anti-DHT effects. Although I am not aware of any scientific data supporting its efficacy, I feel strongly that it is safe and may potentially help some patients.
