Question:
I am a 53-year-old male and exercise regularly. I was not always so fit but I lost my "beer belly." I would like a tummy tuck. Would I have to take time off work? Is this procedure done at an out-patient clinic?
Answer:
You most certainly would have to take some time off from work, how much time depends on what job you perform and your willingness to refrain from exercise after the procedure. In addition, we cannot predict with certainly how each patient will recover from the procedure; however, most patients can go back to sedentary type work after about two to three weeks. You would not be back to normal exercising activity for six weeks.
This procedure is done at an out-patient surgery center.
