Does your liposuction procedure include lasers? Is this procedure done under any anesthesia?
Answer:
Yes, the liposuction procedure I perform does include the application of laser underneath the skin along with traditional liposuction. This removes the fat, coagulates blood vessels, allows removal of more fat with minimal bleeding and also when applied to the under surface of the skin does provide for approximately about a 15% to 16% reduction in the skin.
I like to do these procedures under general anesthesia; however, they can be done under either straight tumescent anesthesia that is the injection of the anesthesia underneath the skin directly without any intravenous medication or with a combination of intravenous and topical anesthetics.
