Are there any scarless techniques for breast reduction or at least techniques that would involve less extensive scarring?

The answer is yes. To determine whether you are a candidate for these techniques you need to be seen by a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon familiar with the techniques.
The technique which involves the least amount of scarring for breast reduction involves liposuction. Not every patient is a candidate for liposuction-only breast reduction, and this is not the best treatment for patients with very large and pendulous breasts with a lot of excess skin. Some patients, however, who desire a small reduction are very good candidates for liposuction only reduction techniques which have minimal scarring.
Other forms of breast reduction with limited scarring are those that are limited to scars around the areola and the lollipop breast reduction which is a vertical reduction involving scarring around the areola and down the middle of the breast.
